About Thelma Wright
Thelma Wright, a native South Philadelphian, completed her schooling at St. Maria Goretti High School and then attended Temple University for Real Estate Management. In the late 1980’s, Thelma relocated to Los Angeles, CA and launched multiple business ventures including real estate management and Jackiem Enterprises, Inc., a clothing design company that provided custom made jogging suits and touring paraphernalia for athletes and entertainers.
After serving as the company’s founding president for a number of years, Thelma decided to move back to Philadelphia to be closer to family and friends. Her entrepreneurial spirit allowed her to begin producing comedy shows and coordinating events and gatherings for high profile individuals on the East Coast, in addition to expanding her real estate portfolio in Philadelphia and South Jersey.
Thelma is also an author, penning her story in 2011 in her book With Eyes From Both Sides – Living My Life In And Out Of The Game. These days Thelma is focused on giving back to the community through motivational speaking and teaching. She is currently working on her launch of The Thelma Wright Foundation, Inc. The mission is empowering women and at risk young teen girls. She feels there is a way to take her experiences and help someone else to grow. This is her way of giving back and she’s looking forward to it.
Thelma enjoys spending quality time with her family and close friends.
Her book is for sale at many book outlets. Visit her author website for more information.
A final note, and one that gives special meaning to the foundation, is that Thelma feels it is her mission to help women lift themselves up to realize their self worth because she is a survivor of domestic abuse.
Together women can be strong in the face of any challenge, and the Thelma Wright Foundation is here for support!
